There's a power within all of us,
an endlessly burning fire,
whose flames remain untamed,
but somehow are controlled.
This fire is not so strong in some,
with the heat barely warming up their bodies
enough to allow them to create a smile.
These people are cold,
both literally and metaphorically,
and they will try to get others
to rebuild their fires for them,
but it never really works.
Others can bring the wood,
and they can help it to grow,
but a fire needs constant refueling,
so when they leave,
the cold ones get colder,
and slowly more and more hopeless.
You are not one of those people,
you are strong and you carry your own fuel
even when your body aches and begs you to give in.
You sit and watch your flame day after day,
and yes, sometimes you do get burned,
but fire was never meant to be safe.
You don't ask for others to rebuild your fire,
you only ever ask for advice
on how to better it yourself.
But inside,
you really do know what to do,
you just don't know it yet.
There will come a day
when your fire will not need refueling,
a day when it will remain on its own,
and that day will come, in time.
A year of refueling your fire,
and watching it grow
has not gone unnoticed.
Use your flames to create something beautiful.
